VET SHORTAGE INSPIRES PET PARENTS TO TAKE A LEADING ROLE AND LEARN SOME VETERINARY EMERGENCY SKILLS
Pandemic caused an increased demand on veterinary services. There are pet parents out there that were unable to see the vet until it was too late......
We, as pet parents need to take a lead role in PREVENTING the illness in a first place and in case of emergency, applying first aid to our beloved pets.
Prevention starts with nutrition, immune system supplementation and right amount of exercise. Every pet parent SHOULD take a first aid for animals course (offered on line or in person by Walks 'N Wags for example) or try to learn on his/her own as much as possible from other sources. YOUR KNOWLEAGE MAY SAVE YOUR PET'S LIFE!
Here is the link to my favorite Canadian Vet Dr. Jones from Nelson, BC discussing this topic. His video library is full of great advice and his podcasts are also of great value
